Mrs. Barbara Jean Riggs, age 61 of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008.  She had a long and distinguished career in surgical nursing and retired 2 years ago from St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, GA.   Survivors include her  husband, Ron Riggs of Gainesville, GA; children, Lori Lynn Riggs of Atlanta, GA, Robert Charles Riggs of Tucker, GA. Rosanne Marie Riggs of  Washington, DC and Richard Owen Riggs of Cleveland, GA; brothers, Richard Saxton, Sheldon Saxton and Robert Linn. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 10:30a.m. at  Ingram Funeral Home.    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Joseph's Hospital, 5665 Peachtree Dunwoody Road NE, Atlanta, GA  30342  Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia will be in charge of arrangements.
