Mr. Billy Heard, age 68 a lifetime resident of Cumming, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at his home following an extended illness.  Mr. Heard was born in Forsyth County and was a licensed minister for 40 years.  He owned his own business and was a member of Mt. Zion Lodge 316 F&AM.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Luther Heard and Emma Faye Peppers.  Survivors include:  wife, Alma Heard; daughter and son-in-law, Ken and Jamie Farmer; grandchildren, Ryan and Austin Farmer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bill and JoAnn Liles and Barbara and Tommy Wheeler; brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Karen Heard of Marietta; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pete Martin, Rev. Truel Martin, Rev. Herbert Youngblood and Rev. Mike Schmid officiating.  Interment will follow at Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 6:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. and Wednesday, February 27, 2008, from 9:00a.m. to 9:00p.m.    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church Building Fund - C/O Mr. Paul Bagley- 5055 Shadburn Rd. - Cumming, GA  30041.  Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia will be in charge of arrangements.
