Mr. Charles Edwin Roper, Age 87, a native and life long resident of Forsyth County, passed away May 7, 2008 following an extended illness.  He was the oldest male member of Friendship Baptist Church.   Survivors include:  wife of 62 years, Doris Roper of Cumming; children, Larry C. Roper of Sugar Hill, Michael E. and Kathy Roper of Atlanta, Sherry and Randle Fields of Cumming and Becky and Robert Bradley of Franklin NC; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.   Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Sutton, Rev. Paul Carder, Rev. Jackie Stewart and Rev. Lee Gaddis officiating.  Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday, May 9, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.   Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia will be in charge of arrangements.
