Mr. Donald Travis Turpen, age 47 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008. Mr. Turpen was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Hazel Turpen.  Survivors include his wife, Florence Turpen of Gainesville; daughter, Bethany Turpen of Gainesville; sisters, Sandra Whitaker of Waynesville, NC and Tamsey Fields of Leesburg, FL; brothers, Silas Turpen of Carrollton and Ronald Manley of Cumming; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, Cumming, Georgia, is in charge of the arrangements.
