Mrs. Effie Mae Garner, age 82, of Cumming, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008.  She was a member of Cumming Second Baptist Church and a life long resident of Forsyth County.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Exer Elzey; brothers, Ivan Elzey, Grover Elzey, Harley Elzey, Rufus Elzey, Ralph Elzey; sisters, Dovie Pruitt, Eddie Majors, Ruthie Lee Payne, Dorothy Roper; son, Charles Edwards and grandson, Kevin Garner.    

Survivors include:  husband of 57 years, Bonnie Garner of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel & Frankie Jackson of Braselton; son and daughter-in-law, Nelson and Harriette Garner of Cumming; sons, David Garner of Covington and Wayne Garner of Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Garner of Cumming; daughter-in-law, Donnis Edwards of Dawsonville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Hubbard, Rev. Alan Swafford and Rev. Doug Collins officiating.  Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be on Sunday, February 3, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, February 4, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.   

Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia will be in charge of arrangements.
