Mr. Egbert Roper, age 82 , of Cumming passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 following an extended illness.  Mr. Roper was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou Roper. Sons and Daughters in law: Lamar and Judy Roper, Wayne and Becky Roper, and Dennis and Pam Roper.  Daughters and Sons in law: Diann and Thomas Mims, all of Cumming and Linda Gail and Kenny Medders of South Carolina. Grandchildren: Terry and Brenda Roper, Matthew and Shelley Roper, Joshua and Megan Roper, Seth Roper, Derrick and Jennifer Mims, Denver and Alicia Mims, Devin Mims, Candice Lewis and Tabitha Joiner.  7 great grandchildren also survive.    Brothers and Sisters in law: Holbert and Adele Roper, Ralph and Helen Roper, Marcus Roper,and  Eddie and Linda Roper.  Sisters and Brother in law: Inez and James Chadwick and Fairy Higgins.  Brothers in law and sisters in law: Billy and Louise Ray, James and Judy Mooney and Bertha Wilkie.  Several nieces, nephews and other relative also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 10 2008, at 2:00 p.m at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Randy Richards and Clyde Boling officiating.  Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am until 9:00pm  Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangements.
