Mrs. Frances Tilly Daniel, age 92 of Cumming, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008.  Frances was born in Chamblee, GA, November 8, 1915 but lived most of her adult life in Hapeville and Cumming.  She was the daughter of the late William Guy Tilly and Maude Bolton Tilly.  Frances attended grammar school in Atlanta at North Avenue Presbyterian School.  At age 6, she rode the train then transferred to a street car by herself to reach the school.  She later graduated from Chamblee High School and attended LaGrange College.  Frances was married to the late Tom Wayne Daniel for 66 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.  She was kind to everyone and always saw the best in people.  She enjoyed bowling, playing the piano, bridge, swimming and even water skiing well into her seventies. Frances was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Miller and a very close friend and sister-in-law, Dot Grogan.  She is survived by her son, Wayne Daniel and wife, Ingrid of Cumming; her daughter, Kay Daniel Heard and husband Jim of Lincolnton, GA; grandchildren, Chris (DeDe) and Jon (Tamra) Heard; Tom (Cathy) Daniel; Mina (Scott) Little and Tim Alex; great grandchildren, Stephen, Sarah, Daniel, Emily Heard and Ashley and Megan Daniel, and Hannah and Garrett Little; many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.  Frances is also survived by her best friend of 85 years, Ethlyn Conway and her special caregiver, Lavern Bonner who cared for her and loved her like her own mother.  Also her caregiver, Jerry Truitt.  Graveside services will be held Monday, February 4, 2008 at 11:00 am at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Cromartie officiating.  Visitation will be on Sunday, February 3, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday, February 4, 2008 from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the North GA Chapter of Alzheimer's - 595 Dahlonega Street - Cumming, GA  30040 or Cumming First United Methodist Church - 770 Canton Hwy. - Cumming, GA 30040.  Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia will be in charge of arrangements.
