Mrs. Gwen C. (SYD) Burruss, age 89 of Kennesaw, formerly of Cumming,  passed away Monday, February 4, 2008. Mrs. Burruss was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her brothers Authur and Bobbie Cobble and sister Mary Pyron of Ft. Payne, AL.  Survivors include her husband George Earl Burruss of Kennesaw; daughter and son-in-law Linda R. and Melvin Chappell of Kennesaw; sister Julia Ann Malcom of Fort Payne, AL; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Betty Cobble of Fort Payne, AL; grandchildren Mark Chappell, Sandra Garrison, Connie McAnally; 4 great grandchildren and several other relatives also survive.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Hogan and Rev. Gerald Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive Friday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.  Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
