Mary Ann Quick,
age 67, of Cumming, Georgia died on Monday, February 11,
2008. She was preceded in death by two children, Cindy Kaye
Barnard of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jann Marie Jones of
Boulder, Colorado, and her second husband, John Quick of Las
Vegas, Nevada, and third husband, Bud Ude of Boulder City,
Nevada, and her parents, Haskill Dee Scott and Jewell
Elizabeth Bulls Scott of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
Survivors include her
daughter, Donna Lynne Bales of Cumming, Georgia, her
granddaughters, Alicia Marie Bales, Kari Leanne Bales, and
Christina Michelle Bales of Cumming, Georgia., her siblings,
sister Teresa Scott Dix of Albuquerque, New Mexico, brother
Jim Scott of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Bill Scott, of Deming,
New Mexico, and Jerry Scott, of San Antonio, Texas.
She was born October 23,
1940 in Muleshoe, Texas. She obtained her bachelor's degree
and master's degree in education and worked as an elementary
school teacher and as a special education teacher for the
blind in schools in New Mexico, Arizona, and Illinois,
worked for the Department of Defense teaching blind students
of military families stationed in Germany, Okinawa, Tokyo,
and the Philippines, eventually retiring from the Clark
County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada after being
named teacher of the year.
Her later years were
spent living in Las Vegas, the San Francisco Bay area, and
in Georgia. She was an avid Bridge Player and participated
in tournaments all around the country. She made many new
friends in the Bridge circuit. All her relatives and friends
will miss her greatly.
The Memorial Service
will be held at Ingram Funeral Home at 210 Ingram Ave,
Cumming, Georgia on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm.
Interment will be in
Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder, Colorado.
