Mr. R. L. Burns, 72 age of Cumming, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008.  He was a member of Spirit Baptist Church.  Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his parents, Grayson and Naomi Burns.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bessie Lou Strayhorn, Barbara Jean Anderson, Charles Ray Burns, Norman Burns, Patricia Ann Burns and Carlton Burns. Survivors include his sisters and brother in law:  Josephine Blanchard, Ruby Martin, Sarah Kimball and Frances and Floyd Cruse, all of Cumming.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law: Dennis and Ann Burns of Dawsonville and Claude Irvin and Gladys Burns of Cumming.  Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held  Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at  Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Kyle, Rev. Danny Ray Martin, and Rev. Richard Picklesimer officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Alpharetta.  The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on, Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Monday 9:00 A.M. to 9.00 P.M. Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory, Cumming,  Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
