Mr. Winford Day, age 70 a native and life long resident of Forsyth County, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008 following an extended illness. He was a member of Cumming Second Baptist Church. Mr. Day retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company after 30 years of service and was employed with the Forsyth County Board of Education for almost 13 years. 

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Elizabeth Day of Cumming; children Charles and Elaine Day of Cumming, Tim and Lynne Day of Cumming; grandchildren Eric and Erin Day, Natasha Day and Jamie Mealor, Ken Day, Brooke Day, Cynitha Frady, Nicholas Frady, Cody White, Joshua Day; great grandchildren Karli Day and Savannah Mealor; brother and sister-in-law Junior and Ann Day of Cumming; sister Mildred Bailey of Cumming; sisters-in-law Mertie Sims of Alpharetta, Edith Howard of Dahlonega; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1, 2008 at  11:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Hubbard and Rev. Larry Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
